A half day workshop which will enable the delegates to have a practical understanding of the 1998 Data Protection Act and the 1990 Computer Misuse Act.

Course objectives:

  • To be aware of the context of the Data Protection Act 1998
  • To understand key terms of the Act
  • To be aware of key provisions of the Act and their implications for your business
  • To recognise a subject access request, and know what to do with it
  • To understand offences under the Act
  • To be aware of the principles of the Computer Misuse Act of 1990
